The 2009 Brazilian Symposium on Aerospace Engineering and Applications together with the 3^rd CTA-DLR Workshop on Data Analysis and Flight Control was held from September 14-16, 2009 at the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica, within the campus of General Command for Aerospace Technology (CTA), in São José dos Campos, Brazil. The list of topics included - but was not limited to - the following: aerospace systems, propulsion, structures and materials, aerodynamics, aeronautical production and manufacturing, air traffic management and control, flight testing, and aerospace engineering education. The CTA-DLR Workshop focused on flight test techniques, flight data analysis, system identification and parameter estimation, flight control and related topics. The technical program consisted of plenary sessions, one round table discussion and technical sessions (oral and poster) with contributed papers.

Presented papers have been published in the online proceedings. After the symposium, selected papers will be considered for a special edition of the Journal of Aerospace Engineering, Sciences and Applications (JAESA).

Symposium attendance required registration and payment of a registration fee. Because the CTA campus is a restricted area, the registration deadline for non-Brazilian participants was August 21, 2009.
